Emerging goalie Daniel Margush has the chance to push for a permanent spot on Western Sydney’s squad, but Wanderers coach Carl Robinson is still planning to sign another glove after Daniel Lopar leaves

Margush, 23, joined the Wanderers in the offseason after failing to impact a short stint with Perth Glory

Previously, Margush had made seven A-League appearances in four years for his hometown club Adelaide United, where he was stuck behind Eugene Galekovic and later Paul Izzo

But he’s finally ready to get an extended A-League opportunity between posts after Swiss goalkeeper Lopar parted ways with the Wanderers this month

“Daniel has done really well since coming here,” said Robinson, Wester Sydney manager, of Margush, who will start Wednesday night when the Wanderers host Macarthur FC at Bankwest Stadium

“Daniel is like a number of A-League goalkeepers in that he hasn’t been a1 yet

“He is a very talented boy, he has a lot of potential and has the attributes you want to be a No1 – a good speaker, a good communicator he deserves an opportunity”

However, with room on the Wanderers squad and room in the salary cap, Robinson said he

“I will seek to bring in another Guardian The type of Guardian I bring will depend,” he said. “Am I bringing an international holder because I have a visa place, or do I have to bring in a national holder?” We will see how this first month unfolds “

Robinson “read the story” about Wanderers poaching players – including James Troisi (from Adelaide United) and Berni Ibini (from Newcastle Jets) – from other A-League clubs

“Players come and go for certain reasons just like managers and coaches come and go,” former Newcastle Jets mentor said

“I want to create a core of players who can move the team forward for the next three to five years, regardless of the manager,” he said

“They started out with more experience than the youngsters which is important whenever you are a new team or a new club It is important that you have the foundations in place,” said Robinson

“It’s important that this team gets a lot of interest and that they do well, but there are other teams in the A-League that probably need a reaction, including us”
