My result was sufficient to enroll for a Bachelor of Arts & Commerce at the University of Melbourne

However, on orientation day I was in a mess enrolling in compulsory math and macroeconomics subjects I really only wanted to do arts subjects A kind university volunteer kindly suggested that commerce was not the right path for me and helped me figure out how to apply for an irregular job

What I remember from VCE Results Day is the feeling I got when I hung up the phone – it’s a feeling worth remembering Swirls of joy, excitement, fear
