Fresh off a 63% plunge, BlackBerry (TSX: BB) (NYSE: BB) is starting to look ripe for the picking, at least more than the GameStop action, which has been a showdown between Bulls and Bears of the End If WallStreetBets’ previous sweetheart isn’t your cup of tea, however, there are plenty of other high-rise stocks Canadians should have on their watchlists by April.
In this article, we’ll take a closer look at two of my favorite high-risk / high-return TSX stocks for adventurous Canadian investors who aren’t afraid of deep volatility.
Canada’s first stock meme, BlackBerry, tops the list as a name that may be worth buying before spring For now, speculators on Reddit’s popular WallStreetBets forum have thrown in their sights set on GameStop action, which has been a roller coaster ride for the past few weeks, to say the least
BlackBerry may have lost its meme status, but the stock looks more attractive than ever, now that weak hands are out of stock I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: BlackBerry stock is the name most attractive that made the WallStreetBets results list Whether or not the heat returns to the BlackBerry stock, I think there are some real fundamentals and a compelling turnaround story worth betting on
BlackBerry has had more than its fair share of stumbles in 2020, but things are looking up in 2021 With new growth opportunities (think Project IVY) and the headwinds of the pandemic subsiding, the stock could be revalued upwards if all goes well With a great leader in John Chen I find BB stock 54 times the multiple of sales to be way too cheap and would encourage long term value hunters to save the truck now
Score Media & Gaming (TSX: SCR) (NASDAQ: SCR) is the riskiest and most expensive stock on this list, but it’s also a name with the greatest upside potential Score Media ( or theScore) has outstanding stewards running the show and a front-row seat in the Canadian single-game mobile sports betting market, which is on the verge of legalization
The sports betting market is huge, and if Score can capture a slice, the title could amply reward those who stuck with its ups and downs. If all goes well, I have no doubt that the management and its innovative capacities can seize the opportunity that presents itself
Following the recent hot mic incident from Tim Peele, which saw the NHL referee comment mid-game about the possibility of making a ‘makeup call’, the NHL may change of opinion on the legalization of sports in one match betting, and this remains a big risk for the Score action
Now that the title is almost 50% fresh out, the name might be worth betting on.But be warned, you’ll still be paying a nice premium (82x sales) for a name that could go both ways. meaning If you’re willing to risk your principal for a shot at a generational multi-bagger, however, I’d start snacking here while Mr. The market has its back turned against growth
BlackBerry and Score stocks could become multiple baggers over the next five years If I had to pick one, I should pick BlackBerry because stocks seem to worsen in value after its last flop However, if you are a trader at looking for greater momentum, Score Media action can be the horse to bet on
