“But the Red Control Zone still has a very strict set of requirements, and York Region is considering (using its own powers) to add further restrictions in the coming week”

Ontario Director of Health Dr David Williams said the improvement in the number of infections in York was enough to get him out of lockdown, but people are still advised to stay at home as much as possible

“While the health indicators have improved enough to allow us to send an additional region back into the frame, we are not yet at the point where we can safely transition to the rest of the province,” Williams said

“Everyone is strongly advised to continue to stay at home, avoid social gatherings, travel between regions only for essential purposes, and limit close contact to your household or those with who you live in, whatever level of setting you find yourself in, “he added
