Ebene News – GB – Dancing On Ice: Christopher Dean insists 2021 injuries are no more than normal

Dancing On Ice judge Christopher Dean insisted there were no more injuries than normal on this year’s series, despite removing one episode this week

This year’s ice skating competition series saw a series of celebrities withdraw from the show – some for injuries, and others overestimated positive for the coronavirus

Christopher and his ice skating partner Jayne Torvill were asked by Ranvir Singh about Lorraine if there were more injuries than usual this year

“I don’t think it’s more than normal, it’s just been reported, maybe, a little more,” said Chris, 62. “We have a great team that takes care of everyone and gets everyone back in shape”

Jayne, 63, added: “Like Chris said, we still have injuries and we always say to our reservations, ‘Don’t think you won’t be on the show’ because almost every season , we end up using one and this year we used both reserves “

She added that they expected injuries to some extent, recalling the saying: ‘If you don’t fall you don’t try’, but added: ‘We don’t want not that people push themselves too far to get hurt

This week’s Dancing On Ice episode has been deleted to allow all the celebrities and pros a week to recover from their injuries

Jayne pointed out: ‘We’re all sad because everyone worked so hard to try and put the show together in the first place and every week something was going on,’ but explained that she was delighted that this gives couples an extra week work on their routines

During this series, Denise Van Outen and Billie Faiers dropped out with injuries, while Jason Donovan missed an episode with a back injury

Professional dancer Hamish Garman also left the show with a hand injury while putting on a sock

Actor Joe-Warren Plant and comedian Rufus Hound also had to drop out due to testing positive for coronavirus

The Sun reported that the team had held behind-the-scenes meetings to figure out how to move forward, with ideas supposed to include adding professional skating routines to episodes and returning past winners.
