Leeds United transfer news: Liverpool prospect moves to Elland Road, Whites set to sell Marcelo Bielsa signing

The Leeds United Under-23s claimed a ninth consecutive Premier League 2 victory, beating Norwich City 2-0 on three red cards and two penalties at Norfolk

The Whites traveled to the Lotus Training Center with a young squad available to Mark Jackson due to Marcelo Bielsa’s senior squad in action at Wolves tonight

Joe Gelhardt, Jack Jenkins, Niall Huggins and Leif Davis were all absent as Max Dean and Bobby Kamwa started the match

The game started off slowly with windy conditions playing a role, but Crysencio Summerville broke the tie with a brilliant run in the box at the bottom right

The winger was transported to the ground inside the zone to stop his progress, but Leeds failed to open the score from 12 yards as Kamwa cushioned his effort away from the spot

Leeds had the ball in the net before half-time thanks to Under-18 top scorer Dean, although he was denied by the offside flag after a smart shot from Charlie Allen

Norwich started the better of both teams after the interval, but it was the visitors who opened the scoring with a nice move to the left of the hosts

Summerville was straddled by Cody Drameh and the full-back arrived at the signing to find Dean crouching with a low ball

A relatively calm affair then saw two red cards within seven minutes as Reece McAlear and Nohan Kenneh received their marching orders

Both teams were deemed to have done enough to clinch the second bookable offense, with both teams being reduced to 10 men despite complaints

Whites captain Charlie Cresswell was then forced off the line before the Canaries were further reduced to just nine players

Melvin Sitti was booked for kicking the ball and just over a minute later was shown in red for a tackle on Summerville outside of his own box

Despite the deficit, the hosts pushed back United but it was the visitors who had the final say in the eighth minute of the stoppage time

Stuart McKinstry won a second penalty for Leeds and Summerville this time around didn’t go wrong sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to seal the three points

The victory allowed the Whites to extend their winning streak to nine games and maintain a 10-point gap over second-placed Stoke City in the race to promote to Division 2
