There were 231 people named in New Year’s honors – 186% of the total – for their services during the crisis, while public sector personnel, such as doctors, teachers and firefighters, made up 148% of the list
Boris Johnson said the awards were a “welcome reminder of the strength of the human spirit” after a year of immense adversity
