Ebene News – GB – Man United left-back Luke Shaw regrets withdrawing from England squads

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has said he regrets letting Gareth Southgate down in the past by withdrawing from England squads, but is determined to make up for lost time

The 25-year-old made his first England appearance since September 2018 in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Albania in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers

Shaw, who has suffered injuries in recent years, withdrew from England squads in October 2018 and March of the following year, but started twice for United in their next game

“My biggest regret was retiring. Maybe back then I was mentally wrong,” said Shaw, who shone under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
