Ebene News – GB – Sophie Ellis-Bextor predicts tears on ’emotional’ 2021 tour

Sophie Ellis-Bextor has warned her fans that she will get “emotional” when she starts filming again in 2021

The ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’ hitmaker is set to hit the road in May for a series of concerts across the UK, and she admitted there could be tears ‘every night’ when she returns on stage

“We just want to get back to the live events I think it will be moving when we get back”

The 41-year-old singer plans to perform classic tracks from her latest hit album ‘Songs From The Kitchen Disco’ – which also includes a few covers – after entertaining fans with weekly live broadcasts during locking

She added: “I wanted to pay homage to what the kitchen nightclub meant to us and that’s why I wanted to do the tour

“For my family, the impact and emotional significance of the kitchen nightclub will take a long time to unravel”

Sophie – who married Richard Jones in 2005 – revealed how much she was encouraged by her spouse to play her Kitchen Discos during the Covid-19 lockdown in order to relieve the stress of family life and its new album developed from there

Speaking on the Graham Norton Show’s New Years special, she explained, “During the lockdown we felt completely bewildered, stuck at home with our five children, the stress and tension about our family life and the heaviness of the news We felt totally useless So Richard suggested that we do a concert on a family Friday to face If I felt crazy to do it live and broadcast it, but something thing seduced me

“We started at the start of the lockdown and I really thought people were going to laugh at me, but we felt really good afterwards and our brains were tricked into thinking we had just done a gig We had such a warm response “
