Ebene News – GB – There is talk of interest-free transfer as Man Utd considers new deal

Edinson Cavani has reportedly made clear his intention to stay at Manchester United beyond this season, although he is free to discuss a transfer elsewhere

The Uruguayan signed for United on a one-year contract in October The Red Devils have the option to extend that stay for another season However, United have yet to make a firm decision on the 34 years old, although there are just over four months to go

The former PSG hitman is able to negotiate terms with other interested foreign parties if he wants to.However, the Daily Telegraph claims Cavani wants to stay at Old Trafford for at least one more season – and maybe longer

Cavani had to patiently wait for his luck under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer However, he now has a healthy seven-goal return in 24 appearances – many of which came off the bench

According to the article, Cavani will ask his agent to put the feelers to United to at least extend his stay into another season

But that’s not all a bed of roses for Cavani at Old Trafford In December, he was charged with misconduct after unintentionally posting a racial insult on a social media post

A man who signed a new deal this week is young striker Mason Greenwood The United academy graduate has shared the first-team star with Cavani this season But rather than seeing the veteran as a rival, Greenwood explained how Cavani and Solskjaer helped his game

“They were and still are amazing players,” he said “I learned a lot from Edinson, Solskjaer being my coach, it’s good to have them both there

“It’s good to have them both in training, because I watch Edi – he’s a top striker, he watches his moves, the way he directs the ball, the way he take the right positions, it’s always an advantage to have a player like that

“Ole has been my coach, it’s good to listen to him and see what he has to say about the position and things, so it’s good to have them both there”
