Ebene News – UA – Daniel Kerr arrested after Kardinya’s house burned down

Former West Coast star Daniel Kerr was arrested after allegedly torching a house in Kardinya on Wednesday afternoon

Medal runner-up Brownlow, whose father Roger lives in the area, reportedly burned down Exley Close’s house around 4 p.m., with fire department and emergency services personnel on the scene shortly after

WA Police said in a statement that arson team detectives charged a man with the house fire

“Fire Department and Emergency Services personnel were already responding to the fire at that time

“A 37-year-old man linked to the property was arrested shortly after in Cottesloe and charged with criminal damage by fire”

Nine News reporter in Perth, Lucy McLeod, said the damage from the fire was not too severe, the majority in the back of the house

“There is a hole in the door and in one of the windows there is a damaged blind,” she told Radio 6PR

Kerr has been denied bail and is due to appear in Fremantle Magistrates’ Court on Thursday

In August last year, Kerr was charged with criminal harassment and violating a restraining violence order

In February he met the deadline after being found numb and drunk on Hannan Street in Kalgoorlie

The midfielder played 220 games for the West Coast and was part of the club’s prime ministerial post in 2006 before retiring in 2013
