Ebene News – UA – Queensland Health responds to supermarket fear of COVID

UPDATE: Queensland Health says there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the Sunshine Coast and one person who tested positive for the virus had not visited a Mountain supermarket Creek

It comes after Woolworths Mountain Creek store management said a person who tested positive for COVID-19 visited the store on March 22.

However, Queensland Health said it was a contact of a confirmed case who had visited the store, not someone who had tested positive.

Queensland Health said the department approached the store on Karawatha Drive to inform them that a person who had been in contact with a positive case had visited the store

INITIAL: A Sunshine Coast supermarket was thoroughly cleaned after a person suspected of testing positive for COVID-19 visited the store, according to his store management

Queensland Health has yet to confirm if someone has visited the store and the store is not listed in the Queensland Health contact tracing section of its website.

According to a customer review written by store manager Russell Semgreen, the person who tested positive visited the store on March 22 from 415-440h

“As a good retailer, we already have very high standards of cleaning and hygiene in place, and the store has undergone a detailed deep cleaning overnight (Wednesday, March 31),” says the opinion

“The well-being of our customers, our team and our communities is our top priority, we take all necessary measures to ensure continued safety in our stores”
