It took a while, but today we finally got our first look at the footage from Eternals No it wasn’t in a trailer, but it’s likely that Coming Soon Instead, a quick few moments of Eternals were shown as part of a video highlighting the past, present, and future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, particularly how this franchise has proven to hours of entertainment in theaters for over a decade However, on closer inspection some fans have noticed an error in a clip from the Eternals-only footage, what if it’s not a mistake?
As seen below, there’s a group photo in Eternals highlighting characters like Richard Madden’s Ikaris, Gemma Chan’s Sersi, and Kumail Nanjiani’s Kingo But take a close look at the far left of the photo, and you’ll see someone who doesn’t look like they belonged to that photo, as Twitter user @jeremylovesyall pointed out:
Yes, it’s a cameraman right behind Kumail Nanjiani, which at first glance looks like a big mistake. Again, this wouldn’t be the first time in recent memory that someone has appeared in front of a camera in a Disney project of high level that wasn’t supposed to do Do you remember Jeans Guy from The Mandalorian Season 2? Still, having a cameraman in full view seems like a pretty big mistake to miss, but if you’ve been following the Eternals news cycle, there’s one key piece of information that suggests this guy is actually where he belongs. p>
Having lived on Earth for thousands of years, the MCU’s Eternals have lived differently within humanity, with some choosing to keep a low profile of our species. Kumail Nanjiani’s Kingo went in the completely opposite direction, with the actor revealing last year that his character has become a Bollywood movie star.Knowing this, it’s possible the cameraman in the frame was part of a crew of filming that follows Kingo, possibly recounting his daily life This theory is reinforced by the photo below of another guy with Kingo holding a camcorder. If that was the case, I imagine some of the Eternals wouldn’t want to be filmed if they care to privacy
We won’t know for sure whether this cameraman’s directing was a mistake or not until the release of Eternals, so once you’re seated to watch the movie later this year, keep an eye out on whether that person has been digitally erased from the scene or is still visible Eternals concluded principal photography in February 2020, with additional reshoots and shoots taking place in November of the same year and last February respectively Of course, like so many movies and TV shows, it became necessary to delay Eternals in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which was originally scheduled for release on November 6, 2020.
Besides the actors mentioned above, Eternals also stars Angelina Jolie as Thena, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as Druig and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman Chloe Zhao of Nomadland directed the film and worked on the script with Kaz and Ryan Firpo Eternals will follow the characters incumbents protecting humanity from deviants after the events of Avengers: Endgame
